The Reproductive Health Association of Cambodia (RHAC) is a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights, encompassing maternal and newborn health, as well as HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, diagnosis, and referral for treatment. RHAC is currently implementing a community health project aimed at enhancing the quality of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) information and services offered at public health facilities, workplaces, and within communities. The project focuses on areas such as family planning, safe abortion, and addressing sexual and gender-based violence. It is being implemented in Kampot, Battambang, Siem Reap provinces, and in Phnom Penh. RHAC is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Community Health Project (CHP) Assistant at its headquarters office.
Main Responsibilities
To support the efficient implementation of projects like Responding with Essential SRHR Provision and New Delivery Mechanisms (RESPOND), Community Based Distributor (CBD), Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF), and Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV). The role of CHP assistant involves providing administrative assistance to the CHP manager, including scheduling meetings and organizing files. Crucially, the assistant will track project activities, assist in logistical coordination, budget planning, expenditure, training, and documentation. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth operation and success of CHP while adhering to RHAC and donor policies:
Setting up and maintaining a comprehensive file system. This involves creating folders, labels, and categories to ensure logical organization and easy retrieval of documents.
Scheduling and organizing virtual monthly meetings one at a time for various projects such as RESPOND, SAAF, CBD, and SGBV. Taking meeting notes and filing them.
Assist the CHP manager in organizing training sessions, including preparation, budget development, participant list creation, collection of training materials, and assisting in developing the training agenda. Take training notes and ensure their proper filing
Facilitate communication with the CHP staff by drafting emails, preparing presentations, and liaising with other departments within RHAC
Ensure timely follow-up with all project site coordinators to confirm the development of the monthly budget plan and the clearance of monthly budget expenditures.
Continuously monitor the progress of key project activities again approved workplan, ensuring that they are on schedule and within budget. This involves regularly reviewing project plans and timelines to identify any delays.
Tracking project indicator data for monitoring project progress, assessing performance, and informing decision-making processes to ensure the successful implementation and achievement of project objectives.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, project management
A minimum of 2 years' experience working with NGOs in health programs, preferably in sexual and reproductive health, with demonstrated experience in program/project monitoring.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with a positive attitude towards project beneficiaries and a dedicated commitment to meeting their needs.
Proficient in English with good computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to work flexible hours
Knowledge of using data collection tools such as Kobo, Tool Box, and Survey Monkey.
